Snowball Journal (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the trading journal at snowballjournal.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website and application.

2. What Snowball Journal does
Snowball Journal is a free trading journal. You can create an account, log trades, and view analytics such as win rate, P&L, and drawdown. We do not execute trades, hold funds, or provide investment advice.
3. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address and password when you sign up with email
- Name, email, and profile identifier when you sign in with Google
- Authentication session data managed by Supabase Auth
Trading and journal data
- Trade details you enter: symbols, markets, entries, exits, risk, P&L, strategies, notes, and optional screenshot URLs
- Trading accounts you create: name, broker, account type, balance, and currency
- Custom strategies you save in the app
Preferences and device data
- Theme preference (light or dark) stored in your browser
- Selected trading account ID stored in your browser
- Standard server and security logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) from our hosting provider
4. What we do not collect
- Payment or billing information (the service is currently free)
- Broker login credentials or direct access to your brokerage accounts
- Precise geolocation
- Contacts, microphone, or camera data
- Advertising or cross-site tracking profiles
5. How we use information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your trade data to train AI models.

- Calculate analytics and display your trade history
- Respond to support requests and service notices
- Detect abuse, fraud, and technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations
7. Third-party services
We use trusted providers to operate Snowball Journal. They process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting — https://supabase.com/privacy

- Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure — https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
8. Data retention
- Account and journal data — kept while your account is active; deleted when you delete your account or ask us to delete it
- Authentication logs — typically up to 90 days for security
- Support correspondence — up to 2 years after the request is resolved
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
To exercise these rights, email hello@snowballjournal.com. We will respond within 30 days where required by law.
10. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our infrastructure providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.
11. Children
Snowball Journal is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated access, and row-level security in our database so users can access only their own data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.

16. California supplement
California residents may request to know, delete, or correct personal information we hold. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
